I cover the Brewers for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel — and can't stop my own debilitating usage of em dashes.

I still can’t really get past the fact that a year ago the entire book on Jacob Misiorowski was to wait him out and he may snowball an inning for you, and last night the Phillies very clearly realized quickly their only hope was to hack early in counts because his fastball lives in the zone now.

I still can’t believe what we witnessed last night. That’s right folks, we’re all thinking the same thing: A USMNT actually showing high-end finishing ability and scoring four goals in a World Cup game
The list of pitchers to pitch a game score of 100+ in a 9-inning game is honestly incredible content. Greatest game ever pitched at the top, a bunch of first ballot Hall of Famers, Miz and...Brandon Morrow?!?
This place really does have the juice.
Anything happen here today
William Contreras on Jacob Misiorowski: "This is not a normal pitcher. He can go out there and throw 100 fastballs and get through a game."
Final: Brewers 6, Phillies 0 Jacob Misiorowski has thrown a 15-strikeout complete game shutout. The most strikeouts in a Maddux. Ever. He raises his hands to the sky in celebration. One of the greatest pitching performances in baseball history, point blank. The record: 42-25
As a kid, Jacob Misiorowski told scouts he wanted to throw 105 and win a Cy Young, his mother Crystal said. And after last night, neither seems all that out of reach. On a night when Misiorowski, with his family in attendance, went the distance — and with speed: www.jsonline.com/story/sports...
“It’s turning into the Savannah Bananas,” was one comment from the Phillies clubhouse last summer when they decried Jacob Misiorowski’s surprising ASG nod. Not tonight in Milwaukee. It was no joke this time. No gimmicks, just simply bananas. www.jsonline.com/story/sports...
