In my first week at Kentucky I requested a faculty carrel at the main library. The library is still one of my preferred places to read and write.

Our campus libraries installed these little phone booth cubbies for private study. I call them Superman booths. I, a full professor with several offices, frequently go to campus so that I can lock myself in a 5x5 cube and read. Bliss.
