Step 1: Make sure the damn thing isn't a primal's trigger weapon. If it is, cast it into the abyss from whence it came.
Step 2: Make sure it's a weapon he (or Ardbert or Fray) can actually USE. Otherwise, pass it off to Y'shtola, she'll love poking that.
Step 3: Try it, get rid of it if it sucks.
