Everyone around Auvergne dining table in Auvergne is in a 18th c play INSIDE LESTAT'S HEAD. Larger than life characters, big booming voices, exaggerated acting and accent. Because they have to compete with rowdy crowd.

I dislike this dining table scene with everyone acting so badly and the volume of their voices is so painfully loud. In a show full of incredible actors, it's JARRING. But I realize that I SHOULDN'T like it, bc Lestat himself HATES telling it and trying his best to gloss over #TheVampireLestat #TVL
