I wasn't planning to spend an hour watching a film but I got hooked on the emotional stories of adoptees in Illinois who obtained their original birth certificates when the law changed in 2011 (albeit with a veto option).

🌴 Since I had posted that California's adoptee rights bill would be heard in committee next week, I now feel responsible for letting people know the hearing for SB381 was postponed to 6/23. I'm just impatient for this bill to pass the State Assembly after doing so well in the Senate (35-0).
