I dont think air assault would actually be very useful against NATO, since NATO would have air superiority from day 1.
And something I would highlight when talking about major Russian arms production facilities west of the Urals is that there is a risk that Ukrainian drones and/or missiles will "visit" the factory (in Kazan in this case).

Whenever the war with Ukraine ends, you can also expect the Russian MoD budget to decline - and with that, relevant contracts to be revised.

The combination of ISR and long-range fires in general makes helicopters very dangerous to use in major peer or near-peer wars, even dozens of km from the FLOT.
And the widespread adoption of anti-drone systems will pose a serious threat to helicopters, since helicopters (especially fully loaded ones) are slow enough to be engaged by these defenses.
