A Defence Secretary publicly declaring the UK can’t defend itself doesn’t just damage a PM, it hands adversaries intelligence and rattles NATO allies.
Whatever his grievance, he turned national security into a political weapon.
That is not principle.
That is sheer recklessness.

I’ve been supportive of Sir Keir Starmer as PM.
But if you think his problems stem from media attacks, read this:
“… you have been unable … to commit the resources [needed] to defend the country at this time of rising threats”.
There’s something badly wrong at the heart of his government.
