Coronene has a bp of 525°C. So that means it is glowing in the visible range from thermal radiation at that temperature?!? Organic molecules should not be allowed to do that.

Here's an unusual throw-back I found from 6 years ago. I was experimenting with some transfer techniques, and found myself in possession of a solid chunk of SF6. I filmed it subliming. A slightly environmentally irresponsible thing to have, though I will have made up for it by the end of my career.
Lignin was once thought of as an intriguing material with little commercial value. But by modifying lignin, UPM is making it useful for a range of new applications.
