But I do think it should be more widely accessible than what it is. And every area is different of course. But here, our local government is simply not going to spend money on things they don’t need to. There’s never been a huge demand for public transportation, so it won’t happen.
She walked home most of the time, and I’m pretty sure it was about 40 minutes of a walk. Sometimes she got rides but obviously people can’t always offer one. It is what it is, most of us are taught from a young age that transportation will be our responsibility when we become an adult.
To paint a better mental picture on that, my commute to my job is an hour. And most of that commute consists of backroads where I see nothing but trees and random houses…there’s no public bus taking me there. An Uber would maybe be my best option if I had to rely on that but it would cost a lot.
So it mostly boils down to, if you can’t drive yourself or don’t have a vehicle or someone willing to give you a ride, you’re SOL. That or walk everywhere. I actually use to work with a woman in a small grocery store (not anything like Walmart cause we don’t even have that) and she didn’t have a car

At least not any close enough for it to actually be useful. I live in a small rural town, there no busses, trains or subways. We have like 2 people that do Uber but they just started that a couple of years ago, and it’s mostly something they do for extra income so it’s not an all the time thing
I find it funny when some people talk about public transportation they have this idea as if it’s accessible to everyone, especially in America. I’m here to say that is not the case at all lol. Where I’m from in the U.S. there is no public transportation.
Reading all these comments I see many of us all over have a similar experience when it comes to this. Personally I like driving as I like having as much time to myself as possible and that’s one of the few moments I get it. Public transportation sounds overstimulating to me lol.
Considering the amount of delusion accusations Huskerdust has gotten in the past, I will never hold radioapple people back. Go ya’ll, also I’m jealous cause your ship is in a happier place than mine rn.
