this take is amazing because not only is wrong in that it discounts an entire gender (by people who think of themselves as elite, woke intellectuals) but it's also wrong even at the basic level because U.S. is constantly developing record-breaking athletes across multiple sports and stats prove this

There is currently a conversation on this app about how the USA doesn’t develop world class athletes in teams sports because as a nation we are too individualistic & anti-intellectual.
And by team sports they mean ⚽️. But somehow the women’s dominance there doesn’t count.
