I owe y'all an update on the Potomac midair article. I currently have over 50 pages (12 pt. font, single spaces) of notes, meaning a final article length at least 20% longer than that. I'll start drafting this week, though I'm still only half way through the 30 hours of NTSB hearing footage...
Outlining the structure of my Potomac Mid-Air article is challenging because it's not an event chain, it's an event web, and every part is so dependent on the other parts, it's like an informational ouroboros where no one component can be explained without explaining the others first.
Not my wheelhouse but this is horrific and needs more attention than it's getting. The safety nets that protect workers in many industries across America have been under unprecedented pressure in recent years. It's not just aviation.
