Every now and then, I see/hear/read it. Actors wanting to hear themselves in a game, wanting to see a long line of fans at a convention somewhere.
We're human and it's perfectly normal to want those things. And if these things turn out to be the fuel that propels you to become a better actor, then
"I understand bringing myself to the story, but what if the character is absolutely not like me?"
This is why we have workshops. So you can try them on in a safe environment. To explore, discover, and eventually GAIN that facet as an authentic part of you.
And now, that character is "yourself." 😏👍

I just received news that my grandmother is in hospice care.
She’s been suffering bad from dementia, and personally I feel like because of that I lost her a long time ago. Yet, I underestimated how much I’d be grieving.
Some extra love and patience would be appreciated right now. Thank you.
