2022
It was the start of a new era with many changes to the tradition. These changes include a new mixed media art style and a drastic step down from 31 drawings to 20 drawings. New characters include the Horror of the Subway, Sister Nigella, Sweet Reese, and the Shriek-O-Rama Slasher.

The Deadman's Journal Showcase
2024
This further honed the mixed-media style The Deadman’s Journal Showcase and introduced new characters to the anthology; including the Red Lily Undertaker, Big John Desmond, Killer Princess Opal, and Count Radley.
2020
It was a year where the world stood still because of COVID-19. Despite the worldwide lockdown, the show must go on for The Deadman's Journal Showcase. This year brought monstrosities like the Diver from the Deep, a Draugr Warlord, and Dr Alyssa Fidmi.
2019
The Deadman's Journal Showcase has debuted on Twitter for the very first time. This year introduced characters like Raisenstein, "Gus", and Kane.
(Unfortunately, a majority of the art from 2019 has been deleted from the computer by accident at some point)
2025
This was a rather bittersweet year for The Deadman’s Journal Showcase. Due to troubles behind the scenes, a decision was made to make it a rerun of 2024 with a few new additions. Without this year, the anthology wouldn’t branch out to Insta nor bsky.
2018
This was the final year where The Deadman's Journal Showcase was hosted on Google+ before its demise in 2019. This season gave everything it got, before leaving to a new social media site, from the Phantom of Lillie Creek, the Headless Lumberjack, and Boris "Butcher".
2021
This year marks the 5th anniversary of The Deadman’s Journal Showcase, marking a final chapter before a new era. One of the year’s new characters include the Tooth Fairy, Ban Sto, Hyde Coffinly, and “Tripp”
2023
Not much happened this year aside from an improvement in the mixed media art style. Some of the new characters introduced this year include the Wendigo of Northmoor Peak, the Creature in the Crate, The Dreaded Krasue, and the Fallen Angel Killer.
2017
This was the first year where every drawing has their own story, leaving behind morbid facts and kooky humor in order to make the series more scary. This year was also the first to introduce color, and returning characters are met with new characters and their stories.
