Special thanks to our lab manager, Orlando Combita, for his help putting together this poster!
This morning’s session on “Novel Biomaterial Developments in Non-Viral Drug Delivery Systems” at #SFB2025 was a success 😎. Extremely talented speakers, stimulating talks, and insightful discussions. It was an honor to organize and co-chair this session with Qiaobing Xu.

Had a great time visiting #UCSDBE! Beautiful campus and amazing people doing impactful science. 😎 Special thanks to @brianaguado.bsky.social, for inviting and hosting me! Check out the view from his office 😯
Happy International Day of Women and Girls in Science! Feeling grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such talented scientists and amazing human beings. Currently, women make up 75% of our PIs and 60% of our trainees.

AIMBE has launched our new Citizen Advocate for Science Letter: takeaction.io/aimbe/scienc...
We ask the broader scientific community to widely share this letter (✍️ <1 minute) with friends, family, and other concerned citizens to urge their elected officials to protect biomedical research funding 👇

Accepting a graduate student in lab is a long term financial commitment, which is nearly impossible to make at this point. Also watch out for overall hiring slow-downs at all levels in science: you don't need a freezing hire for this to happen, it will start to take place organically - already has.
AIMBE has developed a new advocacy letter on the changes to NIH indirect cost rates: aimbe.org/advocate/wri...
We urge the broader biomedical research community to customize this letter (<1 minute) to contact your congressional representatives about the severe consequences of this new policy 👇
AIMBE's Annual Event on March 29-31, 2025 is especially important. With a new Congress and presidential administration, it's a timely opportunity to engage in science policy post-election.
Fellows, register now and we will arrange your congressional visits for you: annualevent.aimbe.org #AIMBE2025
