Last year in Portland OR (pop. 640K), volunteers hosted 900+ bike rides during June, July and August. There's no other city on earth where people actively create & offer as many informative, weird, fun, useful bike rides every day as they do in PDX. Check out some at www.shift2bikes.org/calendar/

Urbanism is derived from the Latin word, 𝙪𝙧𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙪𝙨, of or pertaining to city life. And of course, people the world over are dedicated to making city life the best it can be for everyone.

Utrecht's roses, climbing up the walls of narrow row houses, are beautiful at this time of year. The bikes, parked in front of the houses, are beautiful year-round.

People need trees. The best human habitats include trees, particularly in rapidly warming cities. There's always room for trees.
