Really important win for journalism but it’s the last paragraph that really struck me Palantir has to pay 95% of the Swiss magazine’s costs - which are $11,000 A case like this in the U.K. would cost *millions* in legal fees. Why it’s so easy for rich to suppress criticism
🚨BREAKING: Filton 4 sentenced as terrorists Amnesty opposes the use of terrorism powers in this case. The defendants in today’s case were sentenced as terrorists because prosecutors want to make an example of them. Today's decision shows how direct action protesters could be treated in the future
Every pound lost to current pension increases will be lost to all future pensions including today’s young people when they become pensioners.
His lordship is a failed Tory who begged Sunak for a seat and couldn't get one. Switched to Labour and Starmer put him in the Lords. The "cost of living tzar" who wants to cut living standards for ordinary people. Labour is so lost.

Thread (1/4) He should be ashamed of this. One of the greatest hypocrisies of modern politics is the claim that the triple lock is unfair on the young... www.ft.com/content/2152...

Palantir loses legal challenge against Swiss investigative magazine ft.trib.al/TS7SOJp
Gut wrenching to see four young people jailed for direct action against an arms supplier to Israel. Years in prison for protesting to save lives in Gaza, with 'terrorism' used despite no jury convicting them of it. A truly dangerous attack on the right to protest.
I expected this episode to be both vital and really grim. In reality - it's vital and really uplifting. I sat down with 3 carers to hear about their direct experiences of an utterly broken system. youtu.be/HbJJYl898rY?...

(2/4) What the maths really shows is that ditching the triple lock will hurt the young far harder than the elderly, and will ensure that many of today's 20-year olds retire into poverty. 99-percent.org/condemning-y...
(4/4) ... a percentage which is mysteriously NOT unaffordable to many of our peer countries today.
