Absolutely this. From the "island of strangers" speech, to the twitter videos of deportations, to the confiscation of watches of refugees, to Starmer's claim that he sympathises with men who don't want "their daughters" to walk past places where migrants live - this is Labour's disaster.

Having a IRL social life is, I think, the biggest protection against the worst of online harms - and particularly the brain boiling misinformation. Just... engaging with the wider world Which is why loneliness and a atomisation are two utterly key political issues that are entirely ignored.

The reluctance among media outlets to specify that these pogroms are the work of far-right loyalist thugs is particularly weird, given that they sign their work! The LVF spray tags on the houses of the people they burn out, whether Catholics, migrants or refugees. They've done this for decades!

I wonder if clod becomes an urban-rural insult at a time of increasing urbanisation in the 16th C (a bit like the later jaywalker) won't stop me weaponising some of these
incoherent rage?
