The belief that depicting trans people as capable of toxic responses to trauma should be banned to protect trans people, is in fact part of the mechanism of transphobia and killing trans people, because it's how victim blaming and the perfect victim complex is constructed
Personally I think trans people should be depicted as horrible people more. Lot of folks seem to be afraid to do it for fear of proving some imagined transphobes right or making the whole look bad but we're all people and people can be pieces of shit too. And you can write a good story about them!
