In contrast to then pieces over that past few years calling for us to not overreact, it seems that the bigotry is worse than even ppl in the know thought. I take that to mean it’s really bad.

Like, I promise you the founder of CAIR-Texas - a guy who has been branded a terrorist by the governor and spent decades fighting for Muslim rights in Texas - is aware that the GOP has a bigotry problem. When people like him say "its way worse than you think," its probably worth taking seriously.
