Today, we received remarks from the CWA President, Mark Fisher, about the importance of creating space for collaboration & dialogue to discuss our relationship to water. Our CWRA President also presented the 2026 SYP Award to Emilie Bilodeau from the QC Branch. Congratulations!

💧This morning, we heard from our first plenary speaker, Taylor Galvin, and four youth water protectors, including Shaylee Cook, Kakeka Thundersky, Jory Thomas, and Jordan Thorsteinson, on “Honouring the Spirit of Water: The Importance of Women’s Voices in Water Protection”.
💧Day 2 at #CWRA2026 and we are joined by our second plenary speaker, Justin R. Langan, for a thought-provoking discussion on “Listening to Water: Indigenous Knowledge, Youth Leadership, and the Future of Stewardship in a Changing Climate”.
