THE OFFICE is a story about a petty, insecure, socially poisonous middle manager failing upward in a broken system. He starts his own company and must stand on his own; it hemorrhages money and is on the verge of collapse when his former employer bails him out. It's as Republican a story as it gets.
Every so often, some washed up sitcom dude do this sort of thing where they pretend that they made some truly edgy and controversial comedy that couldn't be made today, and it's just like... you're saying this about THE OFFICE?
