Dear local councils - please consider cargo bikes when putting up bollards and barriers.
Many a car-free school-run route is cut off by a well-meaning barrier :/
It's enough that SUVs are typically more polluting and dangerous for walking and wheeling road users - especially children, who aren't visible below high flat bonnets... But now we learn they're also responsible for another cycling hazard 😠
This is brilliant news - but is it enough?
School streets must be effective to protect children. Meaning that they must be:

💫 sufficiently substantial.
