not to be sensitive about it but "drain the swamp" pisses me off no matter who uses it bc swamps are important and necessary and beautiful. if you don't want algae and bugs and slimy critters, maybe you shouldn't live in a fucking swamp.

i'm trying to work more foraged foods into my diet lately and when fall gets here i'm going to make persimmon loaf with pecans mixed in and i cannot stop thinking about it.

got back from walking in this heat and humidity and just had to sit on the cool concrete floor and eat fruit to replenish my fatigue points

something ppl seem to be forgetting in the comments is that this area is historically and appropriately a swamp. not only can you NOT engineer your way out of that, but swamps are vital, dwindling natural ecosystems we should be working to save. this should be a native wetland preserve if anything.
