Even now my grandmother lives on the Black side of town. There are about 3 grocery stores in a 15 mile radius and all of them require a car. They just got an aldi last year. The used to only have food lion until I was about 26-27.
Some of the absolute best food in the South will be found in a gas station and for CHEAP.
