Mandating this on new cars is an obviously correct bit of public policy that would save tens of thousands of lives annually in the US, and would also be instant electoral suicide

I just went on what I call the “most mundane product demo”: a car driving the speed limit. It’s a technology called intelligent speed assist (ISA) that prevents acceleration beyond a set speed. It’s a great tool that can help slow down speeding drivers without really impacting driving ability. 1/3
