This is as good a summary as you're going to get as to what is wrong with this tournament. I honestly don't know if I'm going to watch it. Treat the group stage as qualifiers and start at the round of 32, maybe.
This is a problem at work as well. Norway has qualified for the first time since 1998 and people are excited. They obviously talk to me about it because I'm the football guy. I don't know how to not be a buzzkill and still let them know that I don't really care about this tournament.
