I don't think they ever claimed that for any sub, but just for API prices.
And I disagree in that case:
If all we care is "will LLMs stay as cheap as they are", then only per unit economics matter. Sure OpenAI and Anthropic might go bancrupt, but others will jump in, and the models are already out
