DC statehood yesterday
Emi Koyama was most likely the first writer and activist to spin my sex work politics toward an analysis of racism, colonialism, and later disability justice. A tremendous loss, who left behind so much good work to continue. Grateful we got to share some spaces. Rest in power 🦋
Holy shit, these people have no idea:
The people launching the pogroms against immigrants in Belfast are loyalists, i.e. loyal to the British crown. They hate the concept of being Irish.
WashU and Vanderbilt AAUP chapters have issued a *joint* statement on the "State of Scholarship in the Humanities" report commissioned by our university leadership. bpb-us-e2.wpmucdn.com/sites.wustl....
that’s right
This is good. Every Democrat thinking about running for President in 2028 should be saying things like this.
Also, given the referendum in Puerto Rico, we have at least two too few states.
Trump just can’t get over the fact that he lost Wisconsin in 2020. Now he’s trying to have the Postal Service get involved in elections to try to help him and Republicans. This is wrong and I will continue to fight this absurdity.

Now an even easier resource to point to than the papers. Names are compound treatments, so choose wisely.
This is good and none of this is radical in a democracy.
I'm not a Buttigieg fan, but I'll say this - this is how I would hope to see every Democrat who was even thinking of running for prez in 2028 talk to have even a chance of reversing course after a trump.

The Postal Service is proposing a rule requiring states to hand over voter information to the Trump administration or risk losing ballot delivery.
I don't post much anymore but I found out a few hours ago that the wonderful Emi Koyama died, I'm away from home, and I'm so very sad about it. I would like to share that grief together with others on here who are indebted to Emi (which is: all of us feminist queers against cisness). Rest in power.
Buttigieg: We sit in a in a country that's got the wrong number of people on the Supreme Court, possibly the wrong number of representatives in the House of Representatives. And by the way, when you consider the disenfranchisement of the people of DC, we have the wrong number of states in the US

Kilmeade to an agreeing Markwayne Mullin: "In Belfast they're standing up because their leaders have let them down. They're trying to take their country back. They want to label them as racist. All they want to be is Irish. They want Ireland back. I see a lot of the same fights here."
