I remember doing some analysis on priorities for funding humanitarian innovations, @ivangayton.bsky.social told me the biggest issue might be a need for cooling.

One thing we all could do: *demand* our states and cities change laws that 1. Require rental housing to provide heat but not AC and 2. Stop people from buying or using AC units, often for incredibly stupid reasons.
Our legal system is largely WAY behind the times on heat danger.
