I've always seen this as the same insensitive joke style that people were doing with the kappa emote alongside something dreadfully rude and unfunny, but with a side of transphobia

I am begging cisgender people to stop using the pronoun part of their introductions in meeting to say nouns that are clearly not the pronouns they actually use.
I don't care if you have ~feelings~ about being asked pronouns. You are mocking trans people.
