My latest: I spent weeks doing water math about AI data centers and talking to the brightest minds in sustainable computing as well as Amazon, Google and environmental advocates about data centers & water.
Does AI have big water problems? Yes. But they aren't what you thought.
For @heatmap.news!
Really important win for journalism but it’s the last paragraph that really struck me
Palantir has to pay 95% of the Swiss magazine’s costs - which are $11,000
A case like this in the U.K. would cost *millions* in legal fees. Why it’s so easy for rich to suppress criticism
love everything about this. it’s exactly why i’m all in for women’s sports (and quite happily don’t engage much with men’s sports anymore).
thanks for capturing the joy, frankie!
Respect to @thefrankiedlc.news for keeping it real
Ty @poynterinstitute.bsky.social for this great look at why we started @weareravenous.com!! www.poynter.org/reporting-ed...
I went to this game while my dear friend was dying in a hospital room across town. I’m sending a newsletter about the personal circumstances surrounding this story, but it’s a small love letter to Justin’s community—the queers of Toronto & beyond. 💕
The He-Man movie was terrible and not in a fun way wow
This was beautiful, and had me thinking about the upcoming kind-of-mirror-image at PWHL San Jose, a market where hockey takes a back seat to other spectator sports, as basketball does to hockey in Toronto
Also women’s hockey (adult participants) is profoundly queer here and everybody knows it
