It’s weird that there aren’t more on foot fantasy animal racing games. Video games can let you be anything but we keep getting stuck on guy with gun or guy with sword.

It's been close to a year since I started this project. After my Mario & Luigi skating anim I wanted to go for a more character-focused piece this time around!

made another sonic idle
base render in sfm and the pose i based it on (there's like 3 different versions of this pose lol), and some other angles
pose is pretty simple, so not many deformities going on
the only thing to really get edited was the face/head related meshes, outside of a few new bones, the rest of the model was left as it was. (hence why I'm only showing the head)
here's the edit (without posing or shapekeys active) next to the original
raw render from SFM, the image i based the pose off of, and a few other angles.
for the render, i rotated the camera so that sonic would take up more of the frame, since SFM doesn't let you do portrait renders natively, this is the work around
