My #librarymaxxing tip is City of London Libraries - membership is inclusive (can you prove your address basically). I used to love Shoe Lane Library - more (and more interesting) books than in my local library. You can use the Barbican library! Decent Libby / borrowbox collections.

#librarymaxxing - also read "Don’t Burn Anyone at the Stake Today" to find out what era you are living in

my advice for librarymaxxing btw is to start with all the libraries where you have an address where no one would mind you getting a letter, eg: parents, parents-in-law, friends, siblings, siblings-in-law, universities you’re an alum of if you can still receive post there, wherever you work or study

every time I say this, someone didn't know: you can get the NYRB, the New Yorker, the LRB, Paris Review, The Spectator (weirdly not New Statesman), The Week, both French & Italian Vogue & New Scientist among many many other magazines FREE via the Libby app from your local library?
