Same for The Grateful Dead. For all their popularity, their only Top-40 single is the weak “Touch of Grey" long past their peak (1987).
Random trivia: the Talking Heads never had a #1 song. In fact, they only had one song crack the top 10 (Burning Down the House went to #9). Arguably their signature song "Once in a Lifetime" didn't even crack the top 100. 😮
