I for one think the best way to watch baseball is to overreact in a tiered system from smallest to largest:
Single game
Series
First month record
End of May record
All Star break record
Record against your division
Record against your league
Geriatric millennial
This is one of the only two ways to consume the baseball season.
You can either not care about any one game and just turn it off, go do something else. The insane approach
OR you can treat them all like they're life and death and wanna kill yourself if they lose. Like an adult.

Baseball fans are funny because on the surface they're probably the most analytics-driven fanbase out there but a bad performance in Game 6 out of 162 will have them crashing out like the playoffs are next month.
