Stuck lying on my couch like “ok time to draw” except I don’t actually do that and I just continue to lie on my couch instead.
My last fandom was a rotating door and it was easier to cope because there was always some new weekly content to keep people interested, but Hellaverse’s long waits between and the weird bouts of drama that happen during the downtime seem to push people away so much faster. Just makes me sad.
Having a longterm hyperfixation that holds onto you for years is bittersweet because on the one hand, it’s like having an anchor, but on the other, watching people you cherish drift away from the fandom and realizing you have nothing else in common is a little, tiny stab of grief every time.
