Not the Star Trek future I wanted, but the one I nevertheless live in. 🙄
I love the TP series finale, but it's massive cliffhanger nature gave me TV-PTSD. I hesitated to begin any cool new shows for a decade because I was sure they'd end on unresolved cliffhangers. I eventually got over it, but Netflix doing it so often in modern times has triggered it once again.
35 years ago tonight, this aired on TV, and my friend said “Wouldn’t it be funny if they didn’t even continue this for a literal 25 years?” And I said “Oh my god Andrea, don’t even say that, I’ll probably be dead by then!” So here’s to me, for making it the extra 25 years + 10. #TwinPeaks
