NGL, this episode stole my innocence. @leahlitman.bsky.social
Terrific Sun. morning worshipping w/ Bethany Baptist Church in Newark, NJ. Great to see @replamonica.bsky.social in the congregation, and hear Rev./Senator Raphael Warnock preach a WHOLE word. Had a great conversation with Se. Warnock and Khalil Gibran Muhammed about justice, equality, and faith.

In the wake of Louisiana v. Callais, the Supreme Court is allowing Alabama to use a congressional map that a lower court found to be racially discriminatory.
"It is a huge...middle finger to lower courts that are doing the work," says @profmmurray.bsky.social. #Velshi

The Supreme Court’s decision in Louisiana v. Callais was a “watershed moment” for voting rights in the United States, but it might be worse than people thought. In a new unsigned order out of its shadow docket, the Supreme Court ruled that Alabama can use a congressional map that a lower court ruled was intentionally racially discriminatory. “It is a huge kind of middle finger to lower courts that are doing the work and genuinely are trying to suss out what’s going on here,” NYU Law Professor Melissa Murray tells Ali Velshi.
NEW: Leah & Melissa talk about what SCOTUS did in Alabama.
In other mediocre men news, they chat about AAG Todd (Carte) Blanche & the slush fund & Bill Pulte - DNI nominee & ... dildo award winner?
PLUS Judith Resnik on her book IMPERMISSIBLE PUNISHMENTS
