I know about Godot and Unity. Godot is great, but it's not quite fleshed out enough for the things I want to do, and I fucking hate Unity.
As soon as Tencent bought 49% of Epic, I knew the day would come when the Fortnite head of Epic's two-headed dragon would finally devour the Unreal Engine side, and it looks like that day is about a year out 🪦.
Wish there was a open source/accessibly priced AA engine alternative. And yes --
With the story organized into a flowchart, I'm now roughing out mini game mechanics/visualizing them with colors to help figure out which sections need more/less interactions. Once this is done, it'll be back to the code mines while I (hopefully) get early feedback from designer friends.
