I’ve been debating whether I should spend a few grand fixing my venerable car up of buy a “new” one before everything goes wrong.
I’m starting to think a new one might be easier than playing whack a mole repairs after this happened.

anything the water can damage is up high. I’ll cope tomorrow.
But most of the factors leading to higher premiums in the last 5 years or so are things that individuals can't affect. You can't personal-responsibility climate change or a madman slamming tariffs on parts randomly!

Someone actually did a study a while back that showed the most effective way to get women out of TERF groups wasn’t people trying to change their minds, it was them getting literally any benign hobby, like learning other languages or taking up needlework
every time i see a white guy in their fifties radicalized by the twitter algorithm into racism and extremism i think about how it's a total failure of the youtube algorithm to instead radicalize him into home brewing, elaborate A/V setups, or DIY solar
