Arrived super early in Toronto yesterday for a full first day of "Planning on the face of fascism: Planners Network 50th anniversary conference".
It's been a pleasure working with the other co-organizers since last summer to realize this amazing space of thought, action, solidarity, and care.
Anyone else noticing a recent surge of AI poster "design" for community/non-profit events? And they all look the same.
Canva templates were already bad enough for flattening aesthetics (but I recognize the accessibility*). But now AI has collapsed poster "art" to a single "design" with five skins.
Yay. No more trying to remember if I tapped my credit card because I thought I might hit the daily cap and then accidentally tapping my presto for one of the trips (or worse, for a transfer and getting charged an extra fare).
Also acceptable over AI: MS Paint poster with Comic Sans font.

End of garden (centre) season sale at Westboro Superstore. Picked up some half price strawberry plants and misc herbs to fill in some gaps in my community garden plot.
Look how perfectly the tray fit over my bike panier. Slow ride and everybody made it home in one piece.
