Now that Platner has won the primary, I am very willing to drop the discourse and hope he wins in November. But it is hard to do that when so many people insist on whitewashing his history. Vote for him because he's the lesser piece of shit in a shit sandwich, but don't pretend he's not still shit.

Even if we assume that Platner, a self proclaimed WWII history buff, had no idea that the tattoo was a Totenkopf when he got it in 2007, there is credible evidence that he knew what it was long before his Senate run, apparently didn't care, and then lied about knowing what it was.
