Consuming the world
The news
And fighting
All that it has to take
Nothing to give
Exhausting to watch
Even harder to partake
I am a butterfly
Flying through disaster
Not wanting to get hurt
But seeing hurt everywhere
I am sensitive
With a heart that blossoms
Yearning to be held

We cut down the trees and then wonder why the Earth is getting hotter. The shade we destroyed yesterday is the heat we are suffering from now. A tree is not just woodโit is oxygen, rain, cool air, shelter, and life. Plant trees. Protect forests.
