Got all travel booked for @brightonruby.com. First time going on the Eurostar from Brussels, I'm really excited about this! 🚄🌊 And even though organising last year's dinner on the spot with 17 people and a fan 🪭 was fun (😆), this year I've made a reservation for 10 people at Dishoom's Permit Room 😋
After a few months of almost non-stop travel, I'm in Belgium, more or less settled until January 2027 🇧🇪❤️ I still have a few trips planned this month and Sep/Oct, but not constantly on the go like before. And starting Dutch classes again tomorrow, A2-B1. I'm determined to be fluent 💪🏻😆
One of the most important things I've learnt this weekend is that there's a regatta in October in Kasterlee (a town in the Anwerp province) where participants paddle in hollowed-out giant pumpkins. It's called the Pompoenregatta. And then people ask me why I like Belgium so much. I mean...
