Removing their voices is a disservice to the public, distortion of our history, & slap in the face to our founding principles. We don't honor our ideals by hiding our journey toward them. We honor them by telling the truth about how we fought to make liberty, equality, and democracy real (3/3)
As America approaches its 250th year, we should tell an honest story about who we are. Women who fought for the vote, abolitionists who challenged slavery, & generations of immigrants who helped build this country are not footnotes in the American story. They ARE the American story. (2/3)

Honored to speak at the Brown Forum for Women in the Law Conference at @northeasternu.bsky.social School of Law about voting, democracy, and why civic participation matters so deeply in this moment. Thank you for having me!

Honored to join Christina Ayala, Margaret Mitchell, and Zakiya Thomas at YWCA’s 2026 Leadership Summit for a conversation about coalition, leadership, and democracy. Partnership is more than a strategy. It is how we build the power, trust, and resilience needed to create lasting change.
The Senate is still debating the SAVE America Act. #ICYMI: I recently sat down with The Atlantic to discuss how the SAVE ACT would disproportionately affect people across the country, including the approx 8/10 married women who change their names. Read the full article here: https://bit.ly/4d87lK8
“Pick one thing that you're passionate about and get involved... If we all do our one thing, it will be enough to change and shift things for November.” Check out my interview on @momsrising.org's podcast and get involved in the midterms! https://open.spotify.com/episode/2Ynylx920SYB1rKlVV9Vfw
I recently moderated a panel at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's Policy Summit Live! It was wonderful to speak with Jonathan Jackson, La Shawn K. Ford, Frederique Desrosiers, and Agnes Gray, and their message was clear: vote, get involved, and stay engaged. Democracy needs all of us.
