This was one good thing at the Gap 2000-2002 (besides the employee discount): we had those fresh curated CDs regularly so there was never just one song that played too much, but 20 good to excellent songs on a loop every season. It’s how I first heard Maxwell’s “NoOne,” an all-time fave for 25 yrs!

Don’t limit it to the 90s, they constantly played this song right up until their death. Like every other damn song over the store speakers…. I worked there almost 2 decades ago and I still can’t stop it from entering my brain every so often, so thanks for this.
