This generates all kinds of negative externalities for ♀ candidates—one of which we explore. Whereas opposition candidates typically benefit from using negativity to highlight problems & mobilize voter dissatisfaction, ♀ appear less able to deploy these tactics without public backlash.
Trump 2 has been considerably more stable than Trump’s first admin, but 🚺 account for 4 of 5 cabinet departures, sending strong signals about whose voice belongs in decision-making.
