Jane Yolen was an absolutely lovely human and also an almost absurdly talented writer. It's wonderful when both things are wrapped up in the same person. I considered her a friend and a colleague, and I will miss her. Condolences to the each of the many of us who knew her. Her memory is a blessing.
At a moment when politicians in Washington are targeting trans people, rolling back rights, and trying to divide us, Pride this year is a reminder that we must always stand together and fight for one another.
Happy Pride, New York City.
An early sign/example of "model collapse"?
Since Trump took office, there has not been a single arrest of a "paid protestor," or indeed a single piece of evidence that paid protestors exist.
It remains something that Trump admin officials routinely claim to be investigating but have so far utterly failed to prove is more than a fantasy.
My mother, the inimitable Jane Yolen passed away this morning after a blessingly short fight with Alzheimer’s. She did not suffer, and went peacefully into the ether which, I am certain for her, will be filled with words of the most exquisite beauty and meaning.
