FAM Route # 10 would become obscured by expansion of the route into Buenos Aires...and ultimately, WWII.
A remarkable photo. A group of men unload esparto grass from Aguilas, Murcia from barges at a wharf near Lambeth on the River Thames, 1938. Probably for cellulose for high quality paper for bank notes & book printing. Would have been source of currency for desperate Republic during Spanish Civil War

Junkers Ju 52/3m was captured by the Australian forces at Ain-El Gazala, Libya, repainted and nicknamed "Libyan Clipper". The aircraft was used by 450 Squadron RAAF to transport mail, food supplies and small items.
