Poland is planning its biggest rail expansion in history. A new €143 billion program aims to build 4,700 km of new railway lines and modernize 5,600 km more, with high-speed routes designed to cut travel times between major cities and strengthen military mobility.
The railway expansion is a key element of Poland's flagship transport hub project, Port Polska.
